ITC Tiepolo was designed in 1987 by the design team of Cynthia Hollandsworth and Arthur Baker. It was named after 18th century Italian painter and printmaker Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo. The font has been described as "a sans serif with serifs." Tiepolo has a slight Asian calligraphic feel to it, but, is still "clean" enough to be used for larger quantities of text. I have included examples of the various styles that Tiepolo comes in which shows its varying look. Here is a picture of the man it is named after.
